About the Journal

Edited since 1989, a RILP is an interdisciplinary edition of the Association of Portuguese Language Universities (AULP) which refers to nationality and international and fosters the exchange of knowledge of all those in America, Europe and Africa concerned with its use and teaching. Approaching how English-speaking languages are an expression, that is, a model for expressing themselves, a magazine has a half-yearly circulation of 200 copies and is made available online under open access.

Of all the activities and goals in the genesis of the AULP, the creation, register and edition of a reflective scientific journal, debate and divulgation of research in interdisciplinary area stands out. As part of this goal, the AULP adopts a neutral position on issues treated within its journal.

The International Journal in Portuguese Language (RILP) is a registered trademark and an official scientific publication of the Associação das Universidades de Língua Portuguesa, created in 1989, to publish, circulate and publicize original and innovative studies and academic researches from the portuguese-speaking countries and Macao, bringing together the cultures that in the portuguese language find expression.

The act of publishing an article in an academic peer-reviewed journal involves many parties that are required to meet the expected ethical standards at all stages in their involvement. AULP is committed to meet and uphold those ethical behaviour standards at all stages of the publication process.

According to the Article No. 17 of the Portuguese Press Law (Law No. 2/99, of January 13th), we are committed to ensure the respect of the deontological principles and the professional ethic of the research work, as well as ensuring the readers’ good faith. The International Journal in Portuguese Language (RILP) is registered at the Portuguese Regulatory Authority for the Media (ERC), nº 123241.

We follow the industry organizations, such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which established guidelines on good publication practice, in order to accomplish the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement (PEMS) requirements. Therefore, editors, peer-reviewers, and authors, should be aware of the ethical principles.

Open access policy

RILP is an international open access journal dedicated to a wide range of basic and applied research in the interdisciplinary field. All works are licensed under a Creative Commons 4.0. Every scientific and academic community has unrestricted access to content; Works can be downloaded, printed, read, cited, bearing in mind that no taxes or fees are charged for submission, peer review, publication and distribution or internet availability.

Copyright Policy

The authors retain the copyright and grant the journal the right of initial publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0 License, and publishing rights. Authors can publish their work online in institutional / disciplinary repositories or on their own websites. RILP encourages the sharing and distribution of works published by authors, increasing impact factors and the number of citations registered, thus contributing to an open and accessible science.

This journal uses the OJS platform to store, conserve and restore published works.

The International Standardized Number of Serial Publications (ISSN) for this collection is 2182-4452 (paper format) and 2184-2043 (digital format). The International Journal in Portuguese Language (RILP) is indexed to the SciELO Portugal catalog, Latindex, Qualis/CAPES, European Reference Index for The Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) of European Science Foundation (ESF), RCAAP – Repositórios Científicos de Acesso Aberto de Portugal, Scientific Journal Impact Factor (SJIF), Livre  – Revistas de livre acesso and REDIB - Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico. The Magazine is subscribed to Google Scholar (‪Revista Internacional em Língua Portuguesa‬ – ‪Google Acadêmico‬) and is an official and authorized member of Crossref to deposit the DOI of all published articles.
