Abstract

The imagination component is emphasized, that precursor and inexhaustible source of human development and its survival strategies in a world in permanent change, in which the perception of threats and risks confront us with serious challenges for the future. Potential solutions and alternatives are yet to be invented, we would say, – that imagination which is a creative, generative and constructive force – just like, after all, our community of belonging, that of Lusophony. A constant unfinished process, of revisiting the past so often critical, but which also feels contemporary. Therefore, susceptible to political and politicizing influences on communication processes in their discursive strategies and practices.
