Abstract

The present article aims to address the reading and reflection on the textual genre label, with the 8th grade students of the Municipal School of Basic Education Professor Nair Barbosa de Souza, in the municipality of Novo Santo Antônio - MT, so that they can know To acquire the necessary information from the label of some stuffed biscuits, which are consumed by the students themselves, emphasizing the nutritional table, as a source of relevant information about the benefits and harms the product can bring to the Consumers. For this reason, the genders are essential elements in the construction of knowledge, since they are determined historically and offer conditions for the student to improve their knowledge within a certain communicative partner situation. The research took place through an open questionnaire, with questions to students about the textual genre label, and whether they have a habit of reading the nutritional table expressed on the package before buying the food. In the course of this work it can be seen that the label genre proposes conditions of teaching appropriate to learning that contribute to the student to have an adequate posture on the industrialized foods, and thus, make choices of a healthy diet.
